Housing Construction framework: Modern Methods of Construction – Category 1

View all key facts

Our procurement framework for factory-built modular homes, enables housing providers to deliver new houses and apartments faster, with assured quality, regulatory compliance and strong sustainability performance.

About our procurement framework

Traditional on-site construction can delay delivery, disrupt neighbours, and tie up local resources. This framework provides offsite volumetric homes that are manufactured to specification and installed efficiently, helping landlords deliver high-quality, energy-efficient homes faster for residents.

This framework gives housing associations, councils and ALMOs a route to procure offsite volumetric homes that are fully manufactured in factories and delivered ready for installation on site. Covering houses, low and medium-rise apartments up to 18m, it provides options for full turnkey solutions or supply and install, with flexibility to customise finishes and layouts. Developed by PfH in partnership with Building Better, the framework ensures members gain cost certainty, robust warranties and regulatory compliance, while improving delivery speed, sustainability and energy efficiency.
